May: Took a life today...the life of the party!!!

Jenny Pallooza
Adrienne planned a full day of surprises for Jenny's Birthday, which started when I dropped Jenny off at a fully pimped out hotel suite fully stocked, spending time at the hotel pool with margaritas. After her massage, Amanda picked her up in a town car for a Jenny Palooza, where Margaritas, apps and karaoke kept the night buzzing.

Christian joined Jenny to celebrate her birthday, so I watched Finley for the day. We went to the park and hung out and unfortunately she fell right under my nose, and bruised her eye. It was Tragic! She recovered nicely and we spent the rest of the night reading books and building with blocks.

Happy Birthday at JennyPalooza

Elida had an interview so she dropped Mason by so I was watching both Finley & Mason at one time. Much harder than you'd think...the park meant holding hands even when they wanted to go in different directions. By the time I was done babysitting both, by early afternoon, I was EXHAUSTED and took a nap. Sometimes its nice to give baby back to Mommy!

Stupid Farm Town. Now I have to harvest on FB & on Animal Crossing. Totally Dorky!

BBQ in Sylmar
April & I went shopping with Lu - finally cashing in on her Feb Birthday gift! We had lunch in the Marina and followed our day of shopping with a Party at Ray & Zenida - Bar-B-Que (the best!) Sparklers, Cartman and of course a porn preview - Zenida was hilarious trying to protect our eyes from anything obsene!

Dad Visits:
Dad came into town early in the AM, so we hung out and then headed up to Lu's for our make your dinner party - Elida and I and dad made dinner...Elida had the big successes and I did not...salt crusted steak recipe was a huge failure...unless you like a meat salt lick.

Make your Dinner Party

April, Dad, the dogs and I headed south for a leisurely road trip. Usually we go North along the coast but today we went south. We discovered a fruit store in the OC and bought fruit, and had a late lunch looking over the ocean in Dana point. There was a rolly polly earthquake that scared dad just a little.

Dad, April & I went to brunch at the London Hotel where we had a delightful champagne brunch followed by a visit up to see Mason, Lu and Damon.

Mason the Explorer

Mini Pool Party
Headed out to get my car serviced and spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up the sun and hanging by the pool with Lu and Mason.

Mini Road Trip:
Hung out all day, lazying the day away with shopping at Sur La Table and 3rd Street, had happy hour sushi at Monsoon and then we head out East of the 405 to the Whiskey to catch Justin do his thing.

After seeing Justin play at the Whiskey, we ran back home, grabbed the dogs and jumped in the car, heading out for Joshua Tree National Park, about 3 hours East of Santa Monica. We made it about an hour before sunrise, watched the sun peak over the desert mountains, took to driving tour of the park, slept in the back of my very roomy Prius (all of us in the back...wow!) and returned back home around noon! I love random surprise road trips.

Shifting Universe
April and I decided to head down to Bodega wine bar for some tapas and Argentine Malbec...my personal favorite and dream about our next trip abroad...Spain, maybe?
At the Hummingbird Feeder

We went to Damon's 35th Birthday Party - a Luau.

Shifting Tide:
Met Phil, May & James at the Marina...It looks like I'm re-employed! Looking back, this is the day Serendipity started; The day the Universe decided to start smiling brightly! I mentioned April and I were going to start looking for a new place to May. She said she'd keep an eye out.
